Terms of service

These terms of service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Authexis platform operated by Synaxis, LLC (“Authexis,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including the web application at authexis.app and the Authexis iOS application. By using Authexis, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Authexis. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorized use of your account.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of all content you create, upload, or generate through Authexis, including ideas, articles, drafts, voice transcripts, and published content. By using the platform, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

You are responsible for the content you publish through Authexis, including ensuring it does not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others or violate applicable laws.

4. AI-generated content

Authexis uses artificial intelligence (including Anthropic Claude) to assist with research, drafting, and content generation. AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and requires your review and approval before publication. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of any content you publish, whether AI-assisted or not.

We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is free from errors, biases, or inaccuracies. You should review all AI-generated content before publishing.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Authexis to generate or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, defamatory, or obscene
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the platform
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform or its infrastructure
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the platform beyond the provided APIs
• Share your account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access
• Use the platform to generate spam or misleading content at scale

6. Subscriptions and billing

Authexis offers paid subscriptions billed monthly through Stripe. Prices are listed on our website and may change with 30 days' notice. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@authexis.app for billing inquiries.

7. Workspace sharing

Workspaces may be shared with team members. As a workspace owner, you are responsible for managing access and ensuring that invited members comply with these Terms. We are not responsible for actions taken by users you invite to your workspace.

8. Third-party integrations

When you connect third-party services (such as LinkedIn, Bluesky, WordPress, or others) through Authexis, your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

9. Intellectual property

The Authexis platform, including its design, code, features, and branding, is the intellectual property of Synaxis, LLC. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the platform as a subscriber.

10. Service availability

We strive to keep Authexis available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, or experience outages. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synaxis, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Authexis. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

Authexis is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@authexis.app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that harms other users or the platform. Upon termination, your right to access the platform ceases, and your data will be deleted in accordance with our privacy policy.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Massachusetts.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the effective date. Continued use of Authexis after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
